University of Granada – Intensive Spanish Language Courses
If you want to study Spanish in Granada, the Intensive Spanish Language Courses (CILE) are designed for those students who wish to start learning or improve their Spanish during a short stay in our country. An essentially communicative approach is followed in these courses along with the use of the most up-to-date audio-visual technology. The average number of students per group is 12.
CILE courses are offered from January to December. There is a level test at the beginning of every month so students can arrive at the start of any month and join a CILE group at the corresponding level. It is also possible to follow these courses for a number of months with the guarantee that a group will exist at every level A1 to C1 (CLM-1 Beginners to CLM-8 Superior), as long as there is a minimum of ten students per group.
From October to December and from February to May, students who have passed level B1.1 Spanish (CLM- 4 Intermediate) can enrol in individual subjects from the Spanish Language and Culture Course and those who have passed level B2.1 (CLM – 6 Advanced) can enrol in individual subjects from the Hispanic Studies Course.
4 Weeks (80 hours total – 4 hours of class per day*)
2 Weeks (40 hours total – 4 hours of class per day**)
* Depending on the Easter holidays, the CILE course in March or April will be 60 hours instead of 80
** 40 hour CILE courses are only given in the first fortnight of the month.
