COURSE DESCRIPTION – Intensive Spanish Language Course, Spring Semester

The Intensive Spanish Language Course at the University of Alicante is designed for those who want to improve their Spanish communicative proficiency and their cultural knowledge of Spain. The Intensive Spanish Language Course can be combined with the Spanish Communication and Culture Course so that participants improve their level of Spanish as they progress through the course.  Participants take 60 class-hours of Spanish classes per month in the intensive Spanish program. At the end of each month participants progress to the next level Spanish course. Classes are held mornings, Monday through Friday. The Intensive Spanish Course is offered on all levels, from beginner Spanish to advanced Spanish. (A1 (Beginner), A2 (Pre-Intermediate), B1 (Intermediate), B2 (Advanced), C1 (Advanced High.)

Participants in the Intensive Spanish Language program have the option of adding Spanish elective courses to their program. The Spanish electives come from the Communication and Culture Course, which is an offering of Spanish courses that consist of two 2-hour classes (4 hours per week) for a total of 60 class-hours). The these elective classes meet in the afternoons and cost € 485 / $ 524.33 * per course.

Open enrollment, anybody can participate. The Spanish program at the University of Alicante is open to teens, students, and adults. You do not have to be a college student to enroll in this Spanish program. You do not have to participate in a US university study abroad program to enroll in this Spanish program. Minimum age 18.

ABOUT

The Centro Superior de Idiomas of the University of Alicante organizes intensive Spanish language courses for teens, students, and adults. Spanish courses are offered throughout the year at all levels of Spanish, from beginner Spanish to advanced Spanish. Our Spanish language programs are open enrollment programs. Teens, students, and adults can enroll directly into our Spanish courses.

SERVICES OFFERED

Activities: Free and paid exra-curricular and cultural activities are offered, such as visits to other Spanish cities, cultural excursions, museum visits, aquatic activities, sports and leisure activities, and others.

Housing: We have an extensive database of shared flats whose owners accommodate students at the University of Alicante, Spanish and/or other international students. All flats have internet connection and they are localized in the center of Alicante and within easy access of the Campus. Prices depend on the characteristics of the apartment, ranging from € 230 / $ 248.65 * to € 300 / $ 324.33 * per month per room (individual), not including expenses, (water, electricity, gas, etc.)

HOW TO ENROLL

To register in this Spanish course at the University of Alicante click here. Enrollment into this study abroad program is open. You should apply at least one month before you wish to start your program. There is no minimum required GPA. Recommendation letters are not required. The minimum age for enrollment is 16.

US students will need to apply for a student visa at the nearest Spanish consulate to study in Spain.
